No. Lumen ships no content sources. It bundles two keyless addons for metadata and subtitles, Cinemeta and OpenSubtitles; everything else comes from the addons, subscriptions, servers and files you add. How addons work

Lumen is a media player, like any other. What you play with it is up to you: use it with sources you have the rights to watch.

Lumen is compatible with the open Stremio addon protocol, so the addons you use there work here, and you can import your addons, library and progress from a Stremio account. Lumen is a separate app and not affiliated with Stremio.

Lumen tells you when a newer version exists. Install the new version over the old one; your library and settings stay. The Microsoft Store version updates through the Store.

No analytics, no telemetry, no account. Once a day Lumen fetches a small version file to tell you about updates, carrying nothing about you; you can turn that off. The app talks to your addons, to TMDB or Trakt only with your own keys, to the sync server only if you turn sync on, and to the video site when you press Trailer. Privacy

On the device: your library, progress, addons, settings and downloads. With sync on, encrypted copies go through the relay; nothing else leaves.

Settings → Storage → Back up data writes one file with your library, progress, addons and settings. Restore from backup puts it back on the next start and keeps your current data alongside.

Yes. Lumen’s own build of mpv and FFmpeg carries every LGPL decoder, so a remux plays its lossless track, and passthrough sends Dolby and DTS, Atmos and DTS:X included, to your receiver untouched.

Lumen looks for them in your subtitle addon first. When there are none, it can write them on your device from the dialogue, and translate them.

Open the player’s statistics (the D key, or Playback statistics in the player’s settings). They start with plain sentences: the source is slower than the video needs, frames are dropped, or decoding runs on the processor.

Yes. Plex, Jellyfin and Emby servers work as sources, DLNA servers on your network are found by themselves, and network folders join your library like folders on your computer.

Addons → Import from Stremio brings your addons in their order, your library and your progress. The password goes straight to Stremio and is never stored.
